How we work

During your first meeting with us, at our showroom in Carlisle city centre or at your home, we discuss your requirements, take dimensions and look at initial layout and design options. This is usually a very creative session.  We work hard to understand your requirements and to inspire you with examples from our diverse portfolio of classic and contemporary designs.   Site Survey We will always survey the property.  To see the way you use your surroundings, it’s very important to our design.   As a room is not a lone space, it needs to flow with the rest of your home, work space or where ever it may be.

Design development

Once we are sure we’ve fully captured your requirements, we start work on the design.  This process usually throws up additional questions.  Once this first draft is finished, another meeting will be arranged where we take you through the design of your kitchen and discuss any other options that may help to enhance the space.  We then draw up the final design specification and advise you of the costs. Design Meetings Here we discuss other options to enhance the space and what is available in way of functionality and visual design as well as looking at materials and finishes in real depth. The 1st showroom design meeting will follow and your designer will then present their initial thoughts and blueprints this will be a creative meeting finding out what each layout offers in way of function and visual design as well as looking at materials and finishes in real depth. When we draw up final design specifications we prepare more detailed plans and begin initial costing. We do not rush the design process as we are advocates of creating the perfect design however long this takes. We will constantly tweak and question the decisions made as the design process continues this will ensure the correct design with the correct products within your budget is best achieved. The design development process typically takes one to two weeks.
